Gujarat Titans delivered a near-flawless performance, extending their lead at the top of the table with their sixth win of the season. KKR’s struggles continue as they slip to a fifth loss and, for the first time this season, fail to recover from a previous defeat. Their inconsistency with the bat remains a major concern.

After posting a commanding target of 199, Titans came out firing with the ball. Mohammed Siraj struck early, removing Rahmanullah Gurbaz (1) in the opening over. Rashid Khan followed up by dismissing Sunil Narine (17) in the last over of the Powerplay.

The spinners took control from there — Sai Kishore and Washington Sundar claimed one wicket each, while Rashid Khan grabbed two, and Prasidh Krishna continued his superb form with multiple breakthroughs. GT were sharp in the field as well, with no dropped catches, sealing a comprehensive team effort.

On paper, KKR boasts one of the deepest batting line-ups in the league, but their reliance on captain Ajinkya Rahane continues to be their undoing. Though Rahane scored another solid fifty, he received little support from the rest.

Gurbaz, replacing Quinton de Kock, failed to make an impact, and wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, brought in as an Impact Player at No. 9, scored an impressive 27 off 13 balls. However, it felt like he should’ve batted higher up the order. KKR’s strategy to go aggressive early clearly didn’t pay off.

GT VS KKR: 1st Inning

Earlier in the match, GT’s top three batters delivered yet another batting clinic. Skipper Shubman Gill led the charge with a classy 90, while Sai Sudharsan hammered a half-century and Jos Buttler finished strong with a rapid 41 off 23 balls.

Rahane’s call to bowl first didn’t work out as hoped. His bowlers struggled to take early wickets, and although KKR managed to prevent GT from crossing 200, the Titans still posted a hefty total on a pitch that offered little help for chasing.

RCB got their payback against Punjab Kings after losing to them just a few days ago. This marks PBKS’s third loss, while RCB notchs up their fifth win of the season.

RCB’s bowlers laid the foundation perfectly in the first innings. Even after losing Phil Salt early, the chase was smooth for the visitors. Kohli and Padikkal put on a solid 103-run partnership that virtually sealed the deal.

Devdutt Padikkal played a fiery knock of 61, while Virat Kohli, true to form, anchored the innings with an unbeaten 73—his record 67th IPL fifty—to guide Bengaluru to a convincing win.

Punjab Kings began their season impressively, but their flaws are starting to show. While they managed an early wicket in the first over, they failed to put up a competitive total.

The Powerplay and much of the middle overs went RCB’s way, with PBKS struggling to take key wickets. They did manage to grab a couple toward the end of the chase. But at that time, the match was already out of their hands.

PBKS VS RCB: 1st Inning

Earlier in the match, Rajat Patidar chose to bowl first—a decision that Shreyas Iyer might’ve made too. PBKS had a blazing start, showcasing one of their best batting efforts at this ground. But once the Powerplay ended and the spinners came into action, Punjab’s momentum dipped. Despite having a few set batters toward the end, they couldn’t pick up the pace.

With no batter managing to reach a half-century, only a few managed to score in the 20s and 30s, while the rest failed even to reach double digits. Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with 33, while Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 31.

RCB’s bowlers stole the spotlight. Once Krunal Pandya dismissed both openers, the pressure mounted, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar along with Josh Hazlewood bowled pinpoint yorkers at the death, keeping PBKS in trouble.

Jos Buttler delivered a sensational performance as Gujarat Titans convincingly defeated the table-topping Delhi Capitals. While the match narrowed slightly in the closing moments, GT remained in control throughout and comfortably secured the win.

Chasing a target of 204, Gujarat Titans lost Shubman Gill (7) early due to a reckless run-out. But then, Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan launched a counterattack, taking advantage of the Powerplay to score freely. They maintained a strong scoring rate, with Buttler increasing the pressure on DC as the innings progressed.

Following Sudharsan’s dismissal for 36, Sherfane Rutherford joined Buttler and kept the momentum going with some valuable runs. The chase got slightly tense in the final overs after Rutherford departed for 43, but Rahul Tewatia sealed the victory in style by hitting a six and a four, while Jos Buttler remained not out on 97.

The Capitals appeared to fall about 20 runs short and desperately needed early wickets to stay in the game. Unfortunately, their pace attack failed to deliver, with only a run-out to show for it. The spinners couldn’t extract much from the pitch, though Kuldeep Yadav did dismiss Sudharsan.

Sudharsan’s dismissal was the only bright spot for DC, as Buttler took apart Mitchell Starc with five boundaries in a row. The Titans looked like the stronger side throughout, and though DC mounted a brief fightback, it came too late to make a difference.

DC vs GT: 1st Inning

Earlier in the day, Shubman Gill chose to field first. Mohammed Siraj struggled with his line early on, although Arshad Khan managed to get a breakthrough as Delhi piled up 73 runs in the Powerplay.

No Delhi batter reached a half-century, but a few contributed useful scores in the 30s. Axar Patel top-scored with 39, Ashutosh Sharma chipped in with 37, while both Karun Nair and Tristan Stubbs added 31 each.

Prasidh Krishna delivered a standout spell, taking four wickets and continuously unsettling DC’s batting lineup. Despite several 30-run contributions from their middle order, DC could only manage a total of 203—clearly below par for the conditions.

It’s two wins in a row for the Mumbai Indians! Things seem to be clicking again at Wankhede as the team gets its campaign back on track.

This was a solid all-round performance, with MI keeping the threatening Sunrisers Hyderabad side under control for most of the match. But with only two wins from seven games, SRH’s chances of reaching the playoffs are now hanging by a thread.

After a slow beginning in the opening overs, Mumbai’s top order began to settle in, with Rohit Sharma looking particularly sharp. He started well but was dismissed by a full toss just as he was finding his rhythm.

Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks took over from there, stabilizing the innings and ensuring the chase stayed on course. After Rickelton got out for 31, Suryakumar Yadav injected some urgency.

Jacks added a crucial 36 before falling, and it was then down to some big hits from Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma that brought Mumbai close to the target. However, with the scores level, Mumbai lost two quick wickets in five balls, which dented their net run rate.

SRH VS MI: 1st Inning

Earlier in the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to post a competitive score on a pitch that wasn’t easy to bat on. Abhishek Sharma gave them a solid start, although Travis Head struggled to get going.

Heinrich Klaasen (37) and Aniket Verma’s (18) efforts towards the end added valuable runs, taking the score to a competitive level.

For MI, Will Jacks stood out with the ball, claiming two wickets, while the rest of the bowling attack each picked up one, Except for Deepak Chahar and Mitchell Santner.

Absolute chaos unfolded in Mullanpur! Punjab Kings pulled off one of the most stunning turnarounds in IPL history. From a seemingly hopeless situation, they rose to defend the lowest full-match total ever in the league—just 112 runs.

KKR, who seemed in control after a disciplined bowling effort, were left in Trouble. After a promising start, their collapse was rapid and shocking. This will go down as a night to remember for PBKS and one KKR won’t forget anytime soon.

After Punjab was bowled out for just 111, KKR would’ve fancied their chances of a quick chase, possibly wrapping it up in just over 14 overs to reclaim the top spot on the table.

Despite a shaky start, Punjab Kings found a ray of hope with a couple of quick breakthroughs. Ajinkya Rahane tried to steady the innings, bringing some much-needed calm to the chase with 17, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi (37) chipped in with a few confident strokes. But as the innings progressed, the momentum quietly started slipping out of KKR’s hands.

At 62 for 2, KKR appeared to be in control, but momentum shifted when Rahane was dismissed LBW, choosing not to review despite the ball missing off stump. That moment opened the door for PBKS to strike back, with Yuzvendra Chahal leading the charge.

Though Andre Russell tried to keep KKR in the hunt with his signature power-hitting, wickets continued to fall around him. Chahal played a crucial role in Punjab’s dramatic turnaround, claiming 4 wickets for 28 runs in his 4-over spell.

PBKS Vs KKR: 1st Inning

After winning the toss, Punjab Kings got off to a flying start, reaching 39 without loss in just four overs. But things quickly unraveled once the opening stand was broken. While some dismissals were credited to disciplined bowling, others resulted from poor shot selection.

PBKS’s wickets tumbled consistently, and no batter could steady the ship, a recurring issue faced by both teams today. PBKS were eventually dismissed for a mere 111. Harshit Rana caused early damage with a three-wicket burst, standing out as KKR’s top bowler. In the middle overs, it was the spin pair of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy whotightened the noose and dismantled Punjab’s batting unit.

CSK RETURN TO WINNING WAYS! In a thrilling last-over finish, Chennai Super Kings bounced back with a much-needed victory. Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni remained composed under pressure, guiding the team to a crucial win.

After suffering five consecutive losses, CSK have finally turned the tide and secured their second triumph of the season.

CSK’s top order gave them a strong start, putting together a 52-run opening stand that laid the foundation. Debutant Shaik Rasheed impressed with a promising knock (27 off 19), while Rachin Ravindra looked in good touch as well but was dismissed for 37-run. However, both failed to capitalize on their starts.

Rahul Tripathi got a second chance but couldn’t make it count. Ravindra Jadeja moved up the order and helped keep the chase on track, while Shivam Dube added some much-needed firepower to regain control. Despite a stutter in the middle overs, CSK stayed in the hunt. It was Dube’s impactful 43 and a classic Dhoni finish (26 off 11) that secured the narrow win for the visitors.

Lucknow’s bowling unit may feel somewhat disappointed with their overall showing, even though they managed to keep the match alive. Chennai Super Kings started aggressively in the Powerplay, but Ravi Bishnoi brought LSG back into the game with a sharp spell, claiming two crucial wickets.

Aiden Markram and Digvijay Singh bowled economically to build pressure, but Shardul Thakur had a rough outing, and the rest of the pace attack couldn’t quite find their groove. In the end, the lack of consistency and control proved costly, bringing their winning streak to a halt.

LSG VS CSK: 1st Inning

Earlier in the day, Lucknow Super Giants posted their lowest first-innings total of the season (166 runs) but it still posed a decent challenge on a tricky surface.

Rishabh Pant led from the front with a determined half-century, anchoring the innings, supported by handy contributions from Mitchell Marsh (30), Ayush Badoni (22), and Abdul Samad ( 20).

For Chennai, Ravindra Jadeja bagged two crucial wickets, while Noor bowled tightly despite going wicketless. Matheesha Pathirana struck twice in the final over, and Khaleel Ahmed, along with Anshul Kamboj, also chipped in with a wicket apiece, capping off a disciplined bowling performance.

The Royal Challengers extended their away winning streak to four matches this season with another stunning performance. With this result, RCB erased memories of past inconsistencies, marking their best-ever start to away games in IPL history. For Rajasthan Royals, it’s a troubling fourth defeat in six games, and they’ll be eager to bounce back quickly.

Chasing a target of 173 is no longer daunting in modern T20 cricket and RCB’s openers capitalized the innings perfectly. Phil Salt led the charge aggressively, dismantling the bowlers during the Powerplay, which produced 65 runs. He notched up a quick half-century and was eventually dismissed for 65, setting the stage for Virat Kohli to take control of the innings.

Kohli accelerated the innings, while Devdutt Padikkal provided steady support with a fluent knock of 40. Kohli brought up his 100th T20 half-century, becoming only the second male cricketer after David Warner to do so, as Bengaluru comfortably wrapped up the win with almost 15 balls remaining.

At the mid-innings, the Royals might have felt they had a fighting chance. Jofra Archer opened well but still leaked boundaries. From that point, the momentum slipped away as RCB’s batters consistently found gaps and punished loose deliveries.

Rajasthan’s poor fielding, including several dropped catches, made matters worse. Impact Player Kumar Kartikeya was the lone bright spot, managing to pick up a wicket. However, it wasn’t enough, as the Royals were thoroughly outplayed in all departments.

RCB Vs RR: 1st inning

Earlier in the match, Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first on a scorching afternoon, primarily due to the sluggish nature of the pitch. The decision paid off, as run-scoring proved challenging and RCB struck early.

Although Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to settle in and began counterattacking, RCB’s bowlers stayed sharp. Rajasthan clawed back in the middle overs, with Dhruv Jurel playing a crucial late cameo that pushed them beyond the 170-run mark despite RCB’s efforts to keep things tight.

Peshawar’s run chase began shaky, with three wickets falling during the Powerplay. Saim Ayub was the lone bright spot, notching up a half-century (50). Hussain Talat (35) and Mitchell Owen (31) were the only other batters to show some resistance.

Zalmi might have to reassess Owen’s role in the top order, especially when it comes to Powerplay overs, which can prove to be pivotal. With this loss in their season opener, Babar Azam and his team now face an uphill battle to bounce back.

Quetta’s bowlers maintained tight control and stuck to their game plan effectively. Abrar Ahmed led the charge with an impressive four-wicket haul. Mohammad Amir and Usman Tariq each contributed with two wickets, while Kyle Jamieson added one to his name, capping off a commanding bowling performance from the Gladiators.

PZ VS QG: 1st Inning

Earlier in the match, Quetta’s batting line-up delivered a stellar performance, racking up a massive total. Finn Allen set the tone with an explosive half-century, while Saud Shakeel (59) and Hasan Nawaz (41) added valuable runs with their consistent contributions.

Rilee Rossouw and Kusal Mendis added to the momentum with a blistering 58-run stand off just 23 balls. Rossouw added 21* off 10 while Mendis scored 35* off 14 which led Quetta’s final score to the 215-run mark.

On the bowling front for Peshawar Zalmi, Ali Raza, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Alzarri Joseph managed to claim one wicket each.

Babar Azam said:

Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam admitted that his team struggled to stick to their game plan, especially during the opening six overs of each innings, where they lost key momentum. Despite the pitch playing differently in the second innings, Babar made it clear that this wasn’t the leading cause of their downfall. He instead highlighted the absence of solid partnerships and the frequent loss of wickets as the primary reasons behind their defeat.

Kolkata Knight Riders completely dominated the five-time champions CSK in their own backyard. The Men in Yellow never quite found their rhythm, and they’ll need to regroup quickly moving forward. With KKR wrapping up the chase in almost 10 overs, they not only climbed to third place on the table but also gave their net run rate a massive boost.

Chasing a low target of 104, KKR came out with intent in the Powerplay. Sunil Narine and Quinton de Kock attacked CSK’s bowlers, piling up 71 runs in that initial phase and virtually finishing the contest early. They smashed eight sixes between them, with Narine hammering a fiery 44 off just 18 balls.

From there, Ajinkya Rahane’s (20) calm presence and a solid knock from Rinku Singh (15) ensured the Knight Riders coasted to victory with nearly half their overs still in the bank.

For CSK, their bowlers struggled to make any real impact – though to be fair, they had very little to defend. Against a powerhouse batting lineup like KKR’s, the challenge was always going to be steep. While Noor Ahmad and Anshul Kamboj managed to snag a wicket each, it was far from enough to stop what became CSK’s third straight home loss – a historic first for the franchise.

CSK Vs KKR: 1st Inning

Earlier in the game, CSK crumbled to their lowest-ever total at the Chepauk. Only Shivam Dube (31*) and Vijay Shankar (29) offered any signs of resistance as the rest of the batting lineup faltered.

KKR’s bowlers were clinical right from the start, with Sunil Narine taking charge and bagging three crucial wickets. Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana supported brilliantly with two wickets each, while Moeen Ali and Vaibhav Arora added one apiece to round off a commanding bowling effort that kept the home team firmly in check.

Gujarat Titans extended their winning streak to four matches, showcasing unstoppable form as they surged to the top of the points table. Rajasthan Royals, riding high on two back-to-back wins, were stopped in their tracks. The heavy defeat not only cost them the match but also dealt a blow to their already shaky net run rate.

Rajasthan had a rocky start, losing a couple of wickets early. Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag then put up a decent fightback to stabilize things. Just when the Royals seemed to be turning the tide, Parag (26) was dismissed in a controversial caught-behind decision that swung the momentum back to Gujarat.

As often happens, one wicket led to another, Samson tried to rebuild with Hetmyer, but just when their partnership looked promising, Samson was dismissed for 41, halting their recovery.

After that, Gujarat tightened their grip on the match, and Shimron Hetmyer found himself waging a lonely battle without much help from the other end. His dismissal for (52) ultimately sealed the result, as Gujarat completed a dominant victory by 58 runs. A big plus for the Titans was Rashid Khan’s return to wicket-taking form.

For Rajasthan, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana claimed two wickets each, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma chipped in with one apiece. However, their lack of bowling discipline proved costly, as they conceded 17 runs through wides.

GT vs RR: 1st Inning

Earlier in the game, Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first, with Jofra Archer making an early impact with a fiery opening burst. Despite the initial pressure, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler dug in to build a solid foundation.

Sai Sudharsan played a mature knock of 82 off 53, with quick contributions from Shahrukh Khan (36 off 20) and Rahul Tewatia (24 off 12) pushing the total to an imposing 217. Rajasthan missed Wanindu Hasaranga, who was unavailable due to personal reasons and apart from Archer, their bowling attack struggled throughout the match.
