Multan Sultans have now suffered their seventh defeat this season—a loss that further complicates their path to the top four. They failed to show up in the run chase, with yet another collapse in the middle order.
Mohammad Rizwan (0) and Usman Khan (1) were dismissed cheaply, while the core of their lineup—Kamran Ghulam, Iftikhar Ahmed, Michael Bracewell, and David Willey—offered little resistance but no one managed to score a fifty or anchor the innings.
In the end, Chris Jordan remained unbeaten on 14, while Ubaid Shah also contributed 14 runs. However, Multan Sultans were bowled out for just 117, suffering yet another heavy defeat—this time by a margin of 87 runs.
For Kings, they will be absolutely thrilled with this performance—just what they needed after the close loss to the Gladiators.
With a solid total on the board, their pacers struck early, grabbing three wickets in the Powerplay to seize control. Then the spinners took control as Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Nabi combined for five wickets, effortlessly tearing through Multan’s batting lineup.
It was a clinical and dominant display by the Kings, earning them two valuable points in the playoff race. Beyond the win, the significant boost to their net run rate could prove vital in the long run.

After that, James Vince took charge at the crease, playing a crucial knock of 65. While Omair Yousuf departed early for just 1, Irfan Khan Niazi provided solid support with a steady 40 off 33 balls.
Following Niazi’s dismissal, Khushdil Shah stepped in and delivered a blistering cameo, remaining unbeaten on 33 off just 13 balls, which included three sixes and two fours. His explosive finish, along with earlier contributions, propelled the Kings to a strong total of 204.
For the Sultans, Ubaid Shah claimed two wickets, while David Willey and Curtis Campher chipped in with one each.
