CSK RETURN TO WINNING WAYS! In a thrilling last-over finish, Chennai Super Kings bounced back with a much-needed victory. Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni remained composed under pressure, guiding the team to a crucial win.

After suffering five consecutive losses, CSK have finally turned the tide and secured their second triumph of the season.

CSK’s top order gave them a strong start, putting together a 52-run opening stand that laid the foundation. Debutant Shaik Rasheed impressed with a promising knock (27 off 19), while Rachin Ravindra looked in good touch as well but was dismissed for 37-run. However, both failed to capitalize on their starts.

Rahul Tripathi got a second chance but couldn’t make it count. Ravindra Jadeja moved up the order and helped keep the chase on track, while Shivam Dube added some much-needed firepower to regain control. Despite a stutter in the middle overs, CSK stayed in the hunt. It was Dube’s impactful 43 and a classic Dhoni finish (26 off 11) that secured the narrow win for the visitors.

Lucknow’s bowling unit may feel somewhat disappointed with their overall showing, even though they managed to keep the match alive. Chennai Super Kings started aggressively in the Powerplay, but Ravi Bishnoi brought LSG back into the game with a sharp spell, claiming two crucial wickets.

Aiden Markram and Digvijay Singh bowled economically to build pressure, but Shardul Thakur had a rough outing, and the rest of the pace attack couldn’t quite find their groove. In the end, the lack of consistency and control proved costly, bringing their winning streak to a halt.

LSG VS CSK: 1st Inning

Earlier in the day, Lucknow Super Giants posted their lowest first-innings total of the season (166 runs) but it still posed a decent challenge on a tricky surface.

Rishabh Pant led from the front with a determined half-century, anchoring the innings, supported by handy contributions from Mitchell Marsh (30), Ayush Badoni (22), and Abdul Samad ( 20).

For Chennai, Ravindra Jadeja bagged two crucial wickets, while Noor bowled tightly despite going wicketless. Matheesha Pathirana struck twice in the final over, and Khaleel Ahmed, along with Anshul Kamboj, also chipped in with a wicket apiece, capping off a disciplined bowling performance.
