After clinching the last ICC Men’s Champions Trophy in 2017, hosted by England and Wales, Pakistan will look to capture a second title under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, with Salman Ali Agha named as his vice-captain.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has selected the squad for the upcoming home tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, along with the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 set to take place in February and March.

Saim Ayub, Pakistan’s young left-handed batsman, has been left out of the squad after suffering an ankle injury during the tour of South Africa. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation in London. His absence could potentially upset the balance of Pakistan’s squad considering his recent performances.

The squad includes three players from the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy-winning team, including Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, and Fakhar Zaman.
