RCB Vs RR: Royal Challengers Bengaluru cruised to a comfortable victory over Rajasthan Royals with nearly 15 balls to spare at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday.

The Royal Challengers extended their away winning streak to four matches this season with another stunning performance. With this result, RCB erased memories of past inconsistencies, marking their best-ever start to away games in IPL history. For Rajasthan Royals, it’s a troubling fourth defeat in six games, and they’ll be eager to bounce back quickly.
Chasing a target of 173 is no longer daunting in modern T20 cricket and RCB’s openers capitalized the innings perfectly. Phil Salt led the charge aggressively, dismantling the bowlers during the Powerplay, which produced 65 runs. He notched up a quick half-century and was eventually dismissed for 65, setting the stage for Virat Kohli to take control of the innings.
Kohli accelerated the innings, while Devdutt Padikkal provided steady support with a fluent knock of 40. Kohli brought up his 100th T20 half-century, becoming only the second male cricketer after David Warner to do so, as Bengaluru comfortably wrapped up the win with almost 15 balls remaining.
At the mid-innings, the Royals might have felt they had a fighting chance. Jofra Archer opened well but still leaked boundaries. From that point, the momentum slipped away as RCB’s batters consistently found gaps and punished loose deliveries.
Rajasthan’s poor fielding, including several dropped catches, made matters worse. Impact Player Kumar Kartikeya was the lone bright spot, managing to pick up a wicket. However, it wasn’t enough, as the Royals were thoroughly outplayed in all departments.
RCB Vs RR: 1st inning
Earlier in the match, Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first on a scorching afternoon, primarily due to the sluggish nature of the pitch. The decision paid off, as run-scoring proved challenging and RCB struck early.
Although Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to settle in and began counterattacking, RCB’s bowlers stayed sharp. Rajasthan clawed back in the middle overs, with Dhruv Jurel playing a crucial late cameo that pushed them beyond the 170-run mark despite RCB’s efforts to keep things tight.
