Pakistan delivered a commanding performance, defeating the West Indies by 127 runs in the opening Test of the series in Multan, taking a lead of 1-0 in the two-match Series.

Sajid Khan picked up 9 wickets, Noman Ali took 6, and leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed contributed 5 wickets in both innings, which played a key role in securing Pakistan’s victory.

The spinners broke down the West Indies batting order in both innings, taking all 20 wickets.

On Day 2, Pakistan found themselves in a strong position, with captain Shan Masood scoring a solid half-century in challenging conditions. At the close of play, Pakistan were 109/3, with Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan at the crease.

Resuming their second innings, Pakistan looked set to build on their lead, but Jomel Warrican’s sharp bowling disrupted their progress. He took the crucial wickets of Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan, both falling for just two runs, leaving Pakistan at 113/5.

Kamran Ghulam (27) fought hard to steady the innings, but his dismissal added to Pakistan’s woes. Jomel Warrican’s relentless performance continued as he took out Noman Ali for (9) and Sajid Khan for (5) runs, leaving the hosts in a bad position at 154/9.

The final blow came when Warrican delivered a precise direct hit to run out Khurram Shahzad. In the end, Pakistan set a target of 251 runs for the visiting team.

Jomel Warrican finished with his career-best bowling figures of 7 wickets for 32 runs from 18 overs.

Chasing 251, Pakistan’s spin trio tore through the West Indies batting, bowling them out for just 123 runs in the opening match of the series.

Sajid Khan took five wickets, Abrar Ahmed claimed four, and Nouman Ali picked up one wicket in the second inning.
