Both teams have been dominant throughout the tournament, each with an identical 5-win record. However, Mumbai’s loss to Bangalore in their final league match denied them a direct entry to the final, allowing Delhi to secure their spot in the championship clash. However, Mumbai ultimately made it to the final after defeating Gujarat Giants by 47 runs in their last match.
